Intro to improv kids

Ages 8-12

Does your child like using their imagination? Laughing? Making new friends? Do you (sometimes) wish that they would listen better? Grow in their self-confidence, and ability to work with others?

During our week-long summer camp, your child can do all of the above - at once! Experienced teachers and improvisors will lead your child in the basics of improv techniques, skills, and games which will culminate in a performance at the end of the week. They will have the opportunity to step safely outside their comfort zone, and be glad they did.

When & Where

Intro to improv kids

July 17-21, 9 a.m. to noon

Where
The Blue Door Theatre
815 W Garland Ave.
Spokane, WA 99205

Faculty

> Heather TIllery

Heather TIllery
Heather is a local poet and business owner, teaches Improv and Poetry at the Blue Door Theater, and workshops at Spokane Public Schools. She is fascinated by the safe spaces both improv and poetry can create and loves the way both art forms speak to one another. She will never stop believing that everyone has a poet and improv artist living inside of them, waiting to speak! Her own poetry can be found in the i-70 Review, and Gagibi journal. When she is not working, writing, or spending time with her husband and three daughters, you can find her jogging (slowly) on trails around Spokane with her Labrador Retriever. Yes, she means to go that slowly.
