Improv Jams Summer 25
July 7 - August 25 (Mondays)
Improv Jams are back for the summer! Whether you're an improv veteran or someone new and eager to give it a try, Improv Jams are perfect for you! Improv.
Jams are not a class but a time for adults to come together, try something new, play improv games, and have fun! You will enjoy new games every week. No experience is required, but everyone who attends is expected to participate.
This summer try something new and have fun in an air conditioned environment!
Summer Intensive: The Ending is the Beginning
July 29 - August 5 (Tuesdays)
This two-class intensive will introduce students to a myriad of improv editing styles, and more importantly, when to use them to get the most mileage out of your scene work and storytelling. This class is for you if you have ever wondered about any of the following;
How do I edit this scene?
When do I edit this scene?
What’s the best edit to accomplish [blank]?
How do I recognize an edit when it’s happening to my scene?
Summer Intensive: Living in Improvised Environments
July 8 - 15 (Tuesdays)
Close your eyes and imagine a crowded, outdoor festival. What are you feeling. Are people bumping into you? What is the temperature? What do you hear? Now, how do you convincingly present that to an audience as you stand in front of them in the center of a 10ft by 12ft empty stage? This two-class intensive will cover the essentials (and extra crinkly bits) of improvising environments when there are no sets, props, or any of the traditional stage production dressing
Summer Intensive: Give It a Push
August 19 - 26 (Tuesdays)
This summer marvel in the momentum of meaningful improv moves.
This two-class intensive focuses on tools improvisers can use to both enrich a scene that is already pretty good, and also to dislodge a scene that may be “spinning its wheels.”
If you have been in a scene and wondered, “How do we run this moment to its fullest,” or “I do not know what to do now and everyone is staring,” then this is the class for you.

Erin O'Halloran Foerg Youth Fund
The Youth Fund was established by the School of Improv's parent organization, The Blue Door Theatre, in recognition of Erin’s retirement after 15 years of service. Her leadership, hard work, and time kept the theater operating and growing over the years. She maintained a commitment to kids and youth doing improv and kept costs low for youth in our community.
This fund provides scholarships for Spokane School of Improv classes and camps. It also helps fund Improv League.
We appreciate your generosity.
